A Swede in Paris

Even though it's not hard to find an enviable closet in Paris, it's always nice to find a non-Parisian who stands out amongst the stylish natives. Lucky for us, we didn't have to go too far to find Nina, a fellow student at Parsons Paris. Her style is equal parts Swedish and rocker and we couldn't be bigger fans..

Helmet Head

I love riding bikes, especially in a city as beautiful as Paris! I constantly see numerous people riding their bikes in the Marais, by the river or even after shopping at the Monoprix however I have one major issue, I look terrible in a helmet. I can never carry off the look without looking like a child learning to ride their bike for the first time. One afternoon when walking through Paris with some friends, I saw this woman with the most stylish helmet I’d ever seen in my life. As I watched the woman put on her helmet I saw how fashionable it looked surely I too could pull off a sophisticated look like that and finally be able to ride a bike in Paris without looking silly.

All Tied Up

Why does the fashion industry tease us with runway shows displaying clothes that we can't wear for months? We spend our Februaries fawning over fall style and our Septembers salivating over spring trends. Unfortunately, lusting is all we can do until the appropriate season arrives. Rather than debate the practicality of showcasing trends that you must wait an entire season to sport, we here at NV would rather find ways around this style technicality. That's why we were so thrilled when we saw this visual merchandiser for Princess Tam Tam rocking a trend fresh of the spring 2010 Chanel runway.

Men vs Hommes

Paris is famous for two things: gorgeous clothes and even more gorgeous men. Whether you prefer clean cut or hipster, the city of lights has quite a selection. Each man has that dreamy and oh so French Jean-Paul Belmondo appeal that can melt any fashionista's heart at first glance. What makes these hommes so special is that they really know how to accessorize an outfit. Let us state our case...

Totally 90210

After meeting this charming group, I couldn't help but feel a little bit of nostalgia for my childhood summers spent catching up on old episodes of Beverly Hills 90210. Even though it wasn't the most poignant of shows, the cast embodied 90s teen fashion in a way no other show was able to. I used to dream about rocking body con floral dresses, over sized blazers and sweeping side parts. Fortunately, with the wave of 90s influenced fashion on the streets as well as the runways it's easy to channel your inner Brenda or Donna.

Geometric Jewels

It's pretty hard to not notice the graphic jewelry trend that has taken over the streets of Paris. I found this American fashion buyer shopping in Marais and had to stop and take a closer look at her gorgeous necklace.
